I love Minnesota. I’m a born, raised, and probably die in Minnesota, woman. So, when a tee shirt company called Minnesota Awesome needed a photographer for their clothing line, I was jumping up and down with excitement!
These tee shirts are so cute! They have a bunch of different and fun Minnesota anecdotes and symbols printed on them. My favorite is the Duck, Duck, Grey Duck teeshirt. Minnesota is one of the only states (maybe the only state) that play this children’s game with ‘Grey Duck’ instead of the more widely known ‘Goose’. (I had to pause to remember what word was used….) My other favorite would the ‘Hot Plate’ shirt. The stylist actually baked a hot plate and brought it with to use in the shoot. Then we had some for lunch. YUM!!!! Not sure what a hot plate is? Not only do they create Minnesota tee shirts, now they are expanding into different states. We photographed North Dakota and (the rival of Minnesota) Wisconsin. Even though I’m supposed to consider Wisconsin my enemy (ok, enemy may be a strong word….) but I loved their shirts! Cheese curds!!!! We used cheese curds in a few photos, and then we got to eat them. It’s always a good day when cheese curds are involved!
