Cascade Bay Water Park Marketing Photoshoot
Cascade Bay is a giant waterpark located in Eagan, Minnesota. They had a need for new images showcasing their amazing park and all the fun stuff people could do while there. I have to say, this photoshoot was extremely fun! We were able to bring a ton of photography ideas to life with it!
To start off with, Cascade Bay provided a great opportunity to take aerial photographs with our drone. The day was sunny and bright, and the sun was just rising when we arrived. No one was in any of the pools or using any of the slides yet, so we had a clean look to start with. This provided the chance to capture the park without people so you could see everything clearly, as well as with people later in the day that showcased the park in use.
Cascade Bay has many fun things to do. They wanted their photos to showcase all of it. We started with the giant water slides. We brought in three families to model for us. I don’t think I’ve seen happier ‘models’ before! 8 kids and 3 adults! Everyone suited up and made our way over to the slides. While photographing the kids entering and exiting the slides, we also brought along a waterproof camera and road down the slides with them to get a first-person point-of-view.
The waterpark also has a great little food court and seating area so people can take a break and have a snack. A much-needed lunch break lent us the ability to photograph some of the treats and the kids enjoying them too.
Right next to the snack area was a mini-golf course. So, of course, we had to play and take photos there too!
After eating and playing some mini-golf, it was time to hit the water again! We decided to start with the lazy river. This seemed the appropriate place to start since we had just finished eating not so long ago. During the lazy river photos, we took the time to showcase some safety aspects of the park. They have multiple lifeguards on duty, and their water levels are clearly labeled. We wanted them to be able to showcase these facts in their marketing.
Although there is so much more to this park than what these images showcase if I posted every little detail we photographed, this post would be three times as long as it is now.
