This past October, we had the incredible opportunity to photograph the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) conference in Chicago, IL. This event brings together thousands of women engineers, professionals, and students from all over the world. The conference, held at McCormick Place, was filled with innovation, inspiration, and networking. We were excited to document the energy and enthusiasm during multiple keynote speeches, workshops and the moments of connection between attendees.
Throughout the event, we got to photograph a variety of sessions led by industry leaders and trailblazing women in STEM. These speakers shared their journeys, challenges, and triumphs as women in a very male dominated industry. We also photographed the networking events, where attendees forged new relationships, shared ideas, and collaborated on the future of engineering.
Career Fair
One of the biggest events at the Society of Women Engineers conference is the career fair. Hundreds of companies and organizations lined the floor, eager to connect with talented women engineers. It was so awesome to photograph the energy as attendees interacted with recruiters, exchanged resumes, and discussed job opportunities. It’s lively and fast-paced, and inspiring to see the many pathways for women in engineering.
Annual Model Photo Session
Another part of the conference we love is the annual model photo shoot. We work with the amazing marketing team at David James Group. They put out a call to all attendees to see who wants to be part of the marketing photos for the following year’s conference.
Women Supporting Women
This conference was a reminder of the power of community and the importance of providing spaces where women in STEM can come together to support one another. The SWE conference not only highlighted the achievements of women engineers but also celebrated the collective determination to break barriers and push the boundaries of what’s possible. We’re grateful to have been a part of this inspiring event and are thrilled to have been able to capture these moments for such a remarkable community.
