At Coppersmith Photography, we had the privilege of documenting the annual “Gingerbread Wonderland” event at Norway House. This well-loved tradition brings in gingerbread house creators from all over the world!
Over 100 Gingerbread creations
The event featured over 100 gingerbread creations! There were simple cottages made from kits to complex replicas of iconic landmarks. Each piece was uniquely designed and showcased the talent of its creators. Many participants spend weeks, or even months, planning and building their gingerbread masterpieces. We’ve never made a gingerbread creation here at Coppersmith Photography. We were told by some of the creators that it involves many steps. One creator used blueprints to help with the building process! Baking multiple pieces of gingerbread, assembling all the components, and decorating with a variety of candy and frosting, are just a few of the obvious steps to achieve their visions. This dedication is a testament to the passion and effort poured into each creation.
“Gingerbread Wonderland” is not just about the displays; it’s an event that brings people together in a shared celebration of artistry and tradition. Visitors can explore the exhibits, vote for their favorite creations, and learn more about the techniques involved in creating these edible masterpieces. We are proud to contribute to an event that fosters creativity and community connections. “Gingerbread Wonderland” at Norway House is more than a display—it’s an opportunity to connect and celebrate shared traditions, and we’ve loved documenting this event for the past many years!
