Artist Statment

I love piecing broken things together. I love taking things that aren’t broken and breaking them into pieces. Then I like to mix up those pieces with other broken pieces, and put them back together in a different way.

I believe that if a photograph is supposed to be worth a thousand words, why not use it in a thousand different ways? I believe every part of an image is useful for something. It just may not be the something it was photographed for in the first place. So, I take bits and pieces of different photographs and Frankenstein them together to create something new.

This is the mantra I repeat to myself wherever I go. What can I take a photo of here? There is always something to capture. Life is like a scavenger hunt to me. What pieces can I find here and now, then later Frankenstein together to create something unique?
