- Who: Matthew (or Matt if that’s easier for you to remember) Coppersmith. I’m a photographer and a wood worker. I love video games and long walks on the beach…..no just kidding, I just like the video games part. I do love hiking in the woods though. That way I can find more wood to make stuff out of.
- What: I am a father of three amazing kids and two crazy dogs, and I’m married to the Amy from the ‘about Amy’ page. We’ve been together since 1998. A long, long time ago.
- Where: Born in Minnesota, lived all around the Twin Cities, and have landed in Otsego, Minnesota for now. Hoping to live on a giant lot of land in the distant future.
- When: I started photography when I was a kid, and have been fascinated with it ever since. I went to college for photography right out of high school and received a degree in Photography as well as in Business and Marketing. 2018 I studied for my FAA license, took the test and passed!
- Why: I love video games, and the drone definitly feels like a video game. I’ve always loved photography from the ground, but there’s something unique about seeing the world from above. It’s a fun and different way to view and capture imagery!
- How: With FAA approval, my ‘controller’ and the drone. Pretty simple!

- Obsessed with wood. Any kind of wood. Just as long as I can make something out of it.
- Has taken over one million photographs in his life time. Some with film, some with digital.
- Can sing like Barry White
- Is 6 foot 4 inches tall
- Sings while he works
- Believes that it isn’t about finding the light at the end of the tunnel. That sometimes it’s just finding the tunnel to begin with.
